Get Listed on the Owncast Directory

You too can get listed on owncast.directory! It's easy!

By default an Owncast server does not list itself on the directory. Follow these steps to get yourself added.

1. Make sure you're running the most recent version of Owncast.
2. Open your server Admin page.
3. Set your server URL to the public URL of your Owncast server. (For example: https://stream.coolcrew.net).
4. Make sure your name, summary, logo, tags, and NSFW are all set to how you want them.
5. Flip the switch to enable the directory.
6. The next time you start streaming you will register to the directory after about 5 minutes.
7. NOTE: If you are streaming NSFW content and don't set NSFW to true you will be removed from the directory.
